Be still. Breathe. Remember who is with you.
There are moments when life asks us to carry more than we feel ready to hold. Messages arrive, decisions wait, responsibilities gather, and our thoughts race ahead of us. Yet God does not ask us to live every moment at the speed of our worries.
Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is stop.
Psalm 46 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength. His presence is not reserved for peaceful days. He is present in the middle of uncertainty, in the unanswered question, and in the quiet place where we finally surrender what we cannot control.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”Psalm 46:10 · KJV
Being still is more than sitting quietly. It is an act of trust. It is choosing to release the need to have every answer today. It is allowing your heart to remember that God is still God when your plans change, when the path is unclear, and when tomorrow feels distant.
Take a few moments today. Put down the noise. Bring God the concern you have been carrying. You do not need perfect words. You only need an honest heart.
And when you rise from that quiet moment, carry this truth with you: you are not walking alone.
REFLECT
What are you carrying today?
What would change if you placed that concern completely in God's hands instead of carrying it alone?
TODAY'S PRAYER
A prayer for a still heart
Father, quiet my heart when fear becomes louder than faith. Help me to stop, breathe, and remember that You are near. Give me grace to release what I cannot control and wisdom to walk faithfully through what You have placed before me. Let Your peace guard my heart and guide my steps today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
